Computer classes continually run throughout the year and one to one tutoring is ongoing. Computer classes specifically for older people started in Spring 2009 and will continue to run during the Spring and Autumn seasons. This is an area which we strongly feel needs to be concentrated upon. As we get older mobility can become a problem, this is where computer and internet skills can become a life line. The internet can provide us with, and in some cases may ultimately be our only means of communication with the wider world, including children and relatives who may be living abroad. Video and audio communication is one of the areas covered. A complete list of our computer courses (including our Terrified Beginners Computer Class) is listed on this site or Click on our blog for details of current courses.
Art, Creative Writing and Pilates are also run each Spring and Autumn and have proven very popular with people over 55. See the Leisure And Education Courses section of this web site for more information, Click on our blog for details of current courses or please contact us.
In an effort to improve our facilities for less able people we applied for and were successful in receiving funding for two new chairlifts. These have now been installed and give everybody access to our computer training facilities and leisure time classes/courses.
